6 Mazovia Cup International 2012



 On Saturday, 8th December took place VI edition of the most prestigious event of federation UFR - Mazovia Cup International.  Eventended with agreat success.

- Everyone: referees, coaches, competitors and even fans put a lot of heart in these contest so that have met our expectations. - said UFR director- Piotr Bąkowski.





To participate in the competition came forward 71 clubs (about 552 competitors) from five countries: Germany, the Czech Republic, Moldova, Egypt and of course from Poland. They represented several martial arts and styles: taekwondo, kickboxing, karate, kung fu, K1, muay thai , MMA and boxing.


Event was co-organized by Polish federation Tang Soo Do, therefore we could admire the competitors who fought in kimonos, broke board sand performed the "form" also with weapons. Thanks to this, competition have taken on "traditional" colors.


Most of the contests between competitors based on UFR (Universal Fighting Rules) regulations. The most interesting were: Point Fighting (technical fight to the first hit), Free Fight (MMA fighting), Musical Forms (very spectacular “art forms”to music), and UFRRules (original UFR federation regulations).UFR Rules has become very popular, because it combines several rules of martial-arts.The first round is based on boxing rules, the second round allows on kicks to the head and torso, and the third is based on K1 rules with a low kicks and knee hits.

Among the youngest most popular was Touch Contact contest, fight on foam sticks.


Competition were held in one day (and ended about 22 pm). It was a huge challenge. But it worked!

Almost all participants VI Mazovia Cup International have announced their participation in the7th editionin 2013.
